the site is in the downtown area of the city and the eclipse shape of the structure that ripples into the street plan is said to ‘blur the urban boundaries.’ sordo madaleno arquitectos says its main point of interest in the project was ‘integration, appropriation, and revitalization’, and the firm sought to create a tower that fits into the existing urban pattern. the design team worked closely with the city in reinvigorating the public spaces of the area, such as the plaza de los compositores.
