part of a larger complex entitled ‘warsaw business garden’, massimiliano and doriana fuksas architects have designed a mixed-use building located in poland. connected with the city center and the nearby international airport, the scheme houses conference facilities, office and retail space as well as dining areas, in addition to its primary role as a hotel. the hotel consists of 206 rooms arranged over five levels, while the on-site congress center caters for 800 people.

situated on a main road, the elevation presented to the street is formal and conventional, while the façade facing inwards towards a park at the rear of the building appears more engaging and visually dynamic. a large green terrace is positioned in front of the restaurant which can be used for the center’s various events.

the third storey protrudes above the second, creating a sheltered external space protecting visitors from bad weather.

at ground floor level, the functions of the project are situated around a nodal point where flexible and adaptable volumes can be used individually or merged together. the center’s internal programs have been allocated different colors, defining the reception and other communal areas.
