internationally renowned japanese architect tadao ando of tadao ando architect & associates has designed the milan flagship store for the venetian brand ‘duvetica‘. split between two levels, the open plan presents 220 square meters of display area between each floor. bands recessed into the concrete walls form a series of minimalist displays for garments. the light color palette of ice and optical white places the brightly hued clothing as the focus of the space. two LCD touch screens introduce cutting edge technology into the shopping experience allowing customers to view all available sizes, quantities, models and prices. moving projections near the shop window project the interactive experience to passerbys of the adjacent via santo spirito.
