back in 2015, tadao ando and his team of skilled designers, architects, and engineers revealed their vision for ‘152 elizabeth street’, a residential building in new yorkfor the first time, new rendering have been released showing the interiors of its exclusive multi-story penthouse. with an asking price of $35 million, the home — which has 5,603 square feet of interior space and 3,240 square feet externally — spans three levels and contains 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths.

152 elizabeth street’s penthouse interior, created by new york-based firm gabellini sheppard associates, consists of high-end finishes, including a custom-designed spiral staircase constructed from pietra cardosa stone, glass, and satin steel. other materials include wide plank danish oak flooring by dinesen, eucalyptus wood cabinetry, several types of stone, and ando’s most well-associated material, concrete.

developed by sumida + khurana, the seven-story structure, built from concrete, will exhibit vast surfaces of glass along with galvanized steel, and the largest living green wall ando has completed to date — measuring 55 feet high by 99 feet wide. the design of each home is approached as a custom residence, with each unit given the utmost attention to detail and craft.
