ACPV ARCHITECTS antonio citterio patricia viel will also design the interiors of the park hyatt hotel, while shanghai-based practice neri & hu will fit out andaz — a newer hotel brand with 18 locations around the world. meanwhile, at the base of the skyscraper, a retail podium will provide a 300-meter long frontage of flagship stores. ‘our design for an aesthetically stunning, operationally efficient and environmentally friendly, 54-storey tower has been chosen from proposals by seven shortlisted tier one international firms,’ says antonio citterio patricia viel.

‘travelers nowadays are tired of the conventional hotel experience but are still unsure about the consistency of what online short-term lodging offers,’ says aaron chan, chairman/CEO of riant capital — the development firm behind the project. ‘we believe this is where the opportunity lies. we want to create a product that is experiential and exciting, and at the same time consistent and operationally well run.’ the project is scheduled to open to guests and tenants in 2020.
