located in san pedro garza garcia, mexico, ‘the fabulous frozen factory’ interior by mexican designer jakob gomez is informed by cryogenically created ice cream. the interior concept is based on the spectacle of the preparation experience, with a large scale ice cream machine inside a renovated warehouse. the in-house production zone divides the space into four areas of the program – with all requirements and devices exposed to accentuate the prep counter. corian and stainless steel are chosen for primary materials, giving the concept an industrial vibe. for detail, a mini pixel LED sign is installed with 720 bulbs with reference to a carnival.
