centre pompidou-metz by shigeru ban nearing completion
french photographer emmanuel dambrine has taken photos throughout the construction process of the metz centre pompidou by shigeru ban and jean de gastines. here are some of his latest images of the building which is nearing completion, due to open in may this year. emmanuel describes his work as follows: ‘I just want to share my fascination for this modern building in an old town, very nice but without architectural boldness. the metamorphose of an no man’s land in a new area is fascinating. the link between nature and the project was my first subject. but, rapidly, I have been captivated by this original construction… I consider my ‘work’ as a ‘chronique visuelle buisonnière’, a good way to explain what I tried to show.’
