torafu architects devised a practical system using large and small grey moveable boxes that could be assembled in accordance to what is on display. each container shares the appearance of a reinforced frame similar to crates used for transportation through the use of a simplified graphical silhouette. mirrors are placed on both sides, reflecting the interior of the room as well as highlighting different perspectives of the space.

the boutique space promotes project ‘team japan’ curating goods, experiences and lifestyle products which relate to the keyword ‘japan’. torafu architects responded to this theme by constructing an interior that carries a minimal aesthetic associated to this cultural theme. specific features include an artificial polished stone floor, colored-glass and modular furnishings which are complimented by playful elements such as the bending slit pipes which hang from the ceiling.
