continuing the theme of fridges the ‘cold war’ exhibit at the italian pavillion features german company topotek 1’s works inside individual fridges. twenty fridges are lined up against the wall, partly stacked on top of each other containing fans kaleidoscopic viewing machines, sound structures, sight twisters and color splashers, as well as a small library of publications by topotek 1’s. the exhibit is a playful experiment and an open ended design study.

the fridges speak of topotek 1’s work tactics, they speak of sensibilities towards the site, and like in a garden
they allow a glimpse into enchanting worlds.
