urban design and landscape architecture office west 8 has designed a labyrinth-like garden for the 2011 xi’an international horticulture exhibition in china. ‘garden of 10.000 bridges’ explores the notion of poetry and narratives through a winding pathway that oscillates from ground level to raised span. five semi-circlular bridge structures allow visitors to peak out over the dense foliage and observe the park and exhibition at a completely different vantage point.

the project, which is currently under construction, will be finished in time for the international event, running from 9 april to 8 october, 2011.
