wooden igloo saunas can sit atop sea rocks or nestle in the woods for nomadic heat bathing
iglucraft's wooden igloo saunas, called iglusaunas, can be placed anywhere and offer an immersive, mobile heat experience.
Wooden igloo saunas, or iglusauna, by iglucraft
Wooden igloo saunas, or Iglusauna as Estonia-based company Iglucraft names it, can appear almost anywhere, from the ragged boulders near the sea and the lush woodlands to the backyard of someone’s home or in front of a city condominium. The mobile and nomadic steam rooms, clad in and layered with wood as an expression of Nordic craftsmanship, take a respite to an immersive experience. Their curved shape enables the steam to travel upward to the ceiling, slowly drifting downward to fill the entire room with its moistening heat.
The wooden igloo saunas from Iglucraft have been built across the globe, from Japan to Australia, Ibiza to beyond the Arctic Circle. To be able to do so, the steam rooms must be durable enough to weather all kinds of climate conditions all year round. By the looks of it, the wooden igloo saunas can deliver just that as the design team claims that its outer tiles can last for up to 30 years thanks to the decades-old techniques they are using to build the steam rooms.
Customizable to tailor the nomads’ needs, the wooden igloo saunas can shapeshift, from the exterior and interior paint ranging in different wood palettes to the size of windows desired and the type of heater the users want (wood-fired or electric stove). Beyond personalizing it, building the wooden igloo saunas where the users want theirs to allow a habitual and ritual time for themselves where their relaxed and introspective state is more than welcome.

Spaces for socializing or solitary contemplation
Four types of wooden igloo saunas await the nomads in their steam-bathing adventure. Iglucraft offers its single Iglusauna as the lead of the ensemble, an acorn-like room that can comfortably accommodate four people. The modest-sized steam room does not take up much space and contains the basics of a sauna experience, all while still being able to host a tight-knit group of people. Bigger space comes through with the ‘double’ Iglusauna whose design stretches the wooden igloo to cater to up to six people at once.
The longer the wooden igloo saunas get, the more people they can accommodate and the more features they can put inside. With ‘triple’ Iglusauna, Iglucraft designs it to enable nomads to either take time alone or spend the experience with their loved ones. There is room for socializing or solitary contemplation for up to six people and its Nordic traditional craftsmanship provides them with warmth in a spacious steam room, a washing room for either an old-school rinse with a bucket of water or a modern shower, and a comfortable relaxing and changing area.

Panoramic sauna for generous views
From the ‘triple’ steam room design, the wooden igloo saunas can get even wider and more immersive. With ‘panoramic sauna’, the nomads are gifted with a steaming room together with a relaxing room for up to six people but additionally offers a panoramic window for endless views from the outside.
Imagine positioning it in the forest or at the foot of the mountains, letting the large windows spill the scenic landscapes into the steam room. Regardless of the nomads’ choice of a steam room, the wooden igloo saunas, a place of purification, welcome a customizable respite just a stone’s throw away.
