The Anti Public Library, a fusion of a vinyl and book store combined with a bar, has emerged as a new unique destination in Paris, France. Crafted by artist Henri Levy, founder and creative director of the luxury avant-garde brand Enfants Riches Déprimés, in collaboration with artist-architect Didier Faustino, the interior is both elegant and muted. The space is characterized by dark wood accents and a diverse collection of books and vinyl records spanning punk culture, art, design, fetish themes, and more. The result is an exciting blend of global trends and aesthetics, creating an inviting environment for visitors to partake in intimate exchanges and self-study.

The collaboration between Henri Levy (find more here) and Didier Faustino (find more here) already started on the Enfants Riches Déprimés boutique which is located right next to the Anti Public Library. Marking an exciting new destination in the French capital, the innovative space invites guests to delve into art, photography, architecture, and music. Dark wood paneling and a marble-checkered floor adorn the interior, setting the stage for a curated selection of coveted vinyl collections and provocative literature. French mid-century furnishings from luminaries like Corbusier, Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, sourced from Galerie 54, add to the space’s charm

The library’s collection showcases rare finds such as Hanuman books from New York City’s Chelsea Hotel, original Wallace Berman Seminas, and an extensive array of American junkie literature and fetish & bondage works. Additionally, visitors can find Enfants Riches Déprimés self-published zines and books on design, architecture, art, and photography by renowned figures like Pierre Chareau and Jean Prouvé. Notably, a selection of books from Tom Verlaine’s personal collection, including those purchased from Television’s frontman himself, is available.

Within the same space, visitors can indulge in a diverse range of refreshments, including natural wines, Japanese sake, American coffee, and Russian caviar served with crème fraîche and potato chips.
