new images have been released of one thousand museum, the zaha hadid-designed residential tower currently under construction in miami. the photos, taken by daniel azoulay, show the rapid progression of the high-rise, which boasts a unique exoskeleton structure that will eventually comprise close to 5,000 individual pieces. construction work began in 2015, and is now past its halfway point.

once complete, one thousand museum will contain 83 residences spread across 62 stories. the new properties will be complemented with a wealth of luxury facilities, such as an aquatic center and a private helipad. the building has been designed by zaha hadid architects, with ODP architects working as the architect of record.
the exoskeleton will comprise close to 5,000 individual pieces
the project takes its name from its location opposite museum park, and offers views across biscayne bay towards miami beach. prices for each unit start at $6 million USD for a 4,600 square foot residence, while all homes feature multiple oversized balconies. conceived as ‘a continuous piece of contemporary sculpture’, one thousand museum is set to complete in 2018. see designboom’s previous coverage of the project here.
