zaha hadid architects reveals Marisfrolg’s Shenzhen Showroom

Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) completes the interiors of the 2,900-square-meter Marisfrolg Showroom, located within the brand’s Shenzhen campus. In this project, the design team draws inspiration from textiles, precision tailoring, and timeless design embodied by the nine unique fashion labels of the Chinese fashion group, incorporating refined materials for an architectural language of dynamism.

Mirroring the butterfly-wing structure of the Marisfrolg headquarters, Zaha Hadid Architects’ design creates a unified architectural vision. offering distinct spatial experiences for each label. The new showroom features a flagship store, a versatile pop-up space for exhibitions and events, a homeware gallery showcasing furniture and décor, a café, and an inviting outdoor courtyard

Founded in 1993, Marisfrolg Fashion Group has grown to encompass over 400 stores across 100 cities, collaborating with leading global designers. The Zaha Hadid Architects team created bespoke furniture and organic displays to further enhance the white-and-gray interiors with recycled glass, plastics, paper, fabrics, wood, and ceramics—each element complementing the specific identity of Marisfrolg’s labels. Floors incorporate aggregates such as crushed glass, quartz, sand, and stone, while partition walls utilize glass-reinforced gypsum (GRG), fabricated from wax molds that can be melted and remilled for reuse.
