‘one thousand museum,’ the much-anticipated residential tower designed by zaha hadid architects, has topped out in miami. the announcement coincides with new renderings of the project, which document its luxury amenity spaces. the 62-story tower with 83 half- and full-floor residences is hadid’s first and final residential skyscraper in the western hemisphere. after breaking ground in 2015, the project is on track for an early completion in late 2018.

designed by zaha hadid architects, with ODP architects working as the architect of record, one thousand museum will contain a total of 83 residences. the new renderings highlight the project’s sky lounge as well as the double-height aquatic center with indoor pool, and the lifestyle center and spa, which overlooks the tower’s sun and swim terrace level.

additional amenities include a private bank-quality vault, a multimedia theater, and a private dining room. the building will also offer a private helipad, which is currently the only planned helipad on a private residential skyscraper in all of florida. the project, and the complex design of its exoskeleton, has been made possible by plaza construction.

interior construction has already started on the amenity spaces. unit interiors include kitchens and closets by poliform, appliances by gaggenau and sub-zero, interior LED lighting by apure and home automation by crestron. the project takes its name from its location opposite museum park, and offers views across biscayne bay towards miami beach. prices for each unit start at $6 million USD for a 4,600 square foot residence, while all homes feature multiple oversized balconies. see designboom’s previous coverage of the project here.
