capturing hidden and mostly abandoned places, british photographer andrew brooks has created the series ‘secret cities’. the composite works were taken across different sites in manchester, UK and zoetermeer and sittard-geleen in the netherlands. seeking to expose the forgotten spaces in the urban fabric, the images transport one to derelict theaters, church roofs, disused bunkers and underground tunnels – forcing people to look a little harder at the mysterious areas that surround them.
