spacial designer anna sitnikova’s graduation installation ’emtpyful’, is a representation of the expo’s space as perceived with its cell beton elements, layered and condensed. space redesigns itself with each encounter and cannot be fully grasped and therefore becomes hesitant. the installation itself is site specific and aims to create ambient hesitation.

in anna sitnikova‘s graduation project, some items appear to be suspending from the ceiling, however, amidst the hazy room, one must create their own perception of what is, and what is not. hesitant as a concept embodies various possibilities, confronts with opportunities, yet stays neutral,’ explains the artist, ‘it could be everything, but essentially it is nothing.’ hesitation provides room for improvisation and nonchalance, and makes oneself at ease with the space.
