french ceramic artist arnold goron built three porcelain birds for the french fashion designer isabel marant. the installations are human size wings that are made from 350 translucent ceramic feathers. goron created the feathers using kerafol green tape, a special porcelain that can achieve a delicate translucent quality. each bird has a different wingspan ranging from 2.4m _ 3.1m. goron was kind enough to give designboom an inside peek at his process, his first using the kerafol green tape porcelain. you can also see a time-lapse video of goron building on the installation on his website.
