artist benedetto bufalino always finds ways to add humor into the everyday. his continued work with cardboard has seen the replication and application of a ferrari testarossa, fitted onto the hood of an older existing vehicle. now the french creative and a team have created an entire domestic space, and all items contained within, using ordinary packing material.

bufalino’s projects have seen a creative interplay with large icons that make up our society. for ‘design carton’, the idea was to parody the catalog of famous furniture store, IKEA, restoring the decorations on a 1:1 scale using a cardboard material. each and every product, from pillows to plants, are rendered in painted packing materials, assembling a truly realistic landscape of household goods.
