through site-specific visual iterations, american artist megan mosholder examines the properties of spatial experience – with her latest installation ‘a tale of two bridges’ a compelling inquiry into the theme. generating powerful aesthetic elements through the use of simple materials, mosholder fosters a dialogue exploring time, dimension and volume. a series of precisely placed lengths of mason line are pulled taught across the cavity of a room, lit by black light – binding the domestic landscape with an illuminated geometry.

mosholder says of her artistic approach:

‘the three-dimensional drawings are a visual inquiry into the concept of space and my experience within it. I use modest materials such as mason line, screw eyes and wood to encircle details I find intriguing and honoring these sites with my own composition. color emphasizes the compositions by highlighting key site elements.’
