‘bread + honey’ is a collaborative exhibition between italian artist giorgia mocilnik, melbourne-based honeyfingers studio, and apis mellifera — otherwise known as the european honeybee. composed of twelve sculptural works, the show exemplifies the wonderful adaptability of bees as animal architects. ‘bread + honey’, both staples of the global diet for millennia, are tied together to showcase the deep, ages old connection between humans and the insects. the exhibition is on display at hotel hotel’s cabinet of curiosities in canberra, australia until march 20th, 2016.
