milk chocolate prototype 1/2

joost goudriaan has a number of friends who are sneaker fanatics. individuals who spend a fortune on their habit of collection expensive footwear which is then stored in rooms of specially controlled temperatures, sealed, never to be worn. the dutch designer thought about what these diehard shoe collectors might give their partners for christmas or valentine’s day to make-up for the money spent on their sneakers. originally conceived as a series of 10 pairs, goudriaan packaged thechocolate treats with a contract obliging the buyer to eat them–a bit of pain for pleasure perhaps?
