acclaimed illustrator christoph niemann presents a collection of his work at the SVA chelsea gallery in an exhibition titled, ‘the masters series: christoph niemann.’ the exhibition showcases the designer’s inventive and creative style through a carefully chosen selection of illustrations, magazine covers, animations and digital works on view until november 4, 2017.

the artist is best known for his ability to communicate with bits of humor and overall cleverness. steven heller, SVA design co-chair, describes niemann’s work and its ability to ‘trigger everything from laughter to tears, while effortlessly illuminating difficult political and social issues.’ the artist was born and raised in germany, before moving to new york city for a period before returning to berlin.
