in the latest series sent to designboom by photographer davide luciano and his wife, food stylist claudia ficcaanimals take on quirky human characteristics. the duo’s fourth collaboration is called ‘cold feet’ and visualizes various comical scenarios of different reptiles, fish, and mammals engaging in sport, pleasure, and play. two chickens have their nails polished a fiery red, a solitaire-playing alligator makes a move, a pig smokes a cigar, and the tiny claws of a crab kit away at a woven scarf. motivated by a stroll around new york city’s chinatown — where the suspended feet of the daily meal dangle from nearly every window front — the creative couple recreate, and satirize the uncomfortable into whimsical tableaus that imagine the critters in jovial and highly amusing scenes.
