the second annual daegu photo biennale in daegu, south korea is under way. the theme of this edition is ‘then & now: memories of the future’, which highlights photography’s way of capturing and recording history and documenting moments in time. over 1,000 photos by 200 photographers will be on display, focusing on the photographic art of south korea, china and japan. there will be a number of special exhibitions as part of the event, presenting both contemporary photos and historic photos of up to 100 years ago, and the change which has occurred in the east asian culture over the past century.
