this year’s design miami art projects section will feature nine installations by international artists.
displayed in lummus park, miami beach the artworks encourage participation by the general public.

artists works featured include ai weiwei, olaf breuning, COOPER, dora garcia, thomas houseago, tadashi kawamata, jiri kovanda, ana linnemann and thomas zipp.

chinese artist ai wewei will display an installation ‘bubble’ consisting of one hundred ceramic blue bubbles spread over an area of 600 square meters. his work incorporates chinese tradition and items taken from the modern culture.

swiss artist olaf breuning will display his ‘untitled’ sculpture a huge girl wearing a bikini. the sculpture is a take on the miami beach sand sculpture. he is known for using various mediums such as photography, films, sculptures and installations to create art influenced by popular culture.
