isetan vitrine- daisy balloon installation

for its 30th anniversary in japan, diesel has collaborated with young fashion designer yuko koike– recipient of the 0TB award at the international talent support contest 2015. together they created an exclusive collection that pays homage to the japanese culture, with kimono styled-outfits and deep indigo dyes.

the patterns of the installation perfectly mirror  those of the outfits

the outfits designed by diesel and yuko koike were adorned with a colorful vitrine display by daisy balloon. the floral patterns of the installation- which was the young designer’s idea- greatly animate the large vitrines  of the isetan shinjuku department stores. throughout the facade, the window display changes in intensity- between discrete floating patterns and expanded colorful backgrounds . those variations reflect the simplicity/complexity of the outfits displayed.

the concept of the ‘flower’ in the window display was borrowed from yuko koike
