duffy london keeps on expanding its ‘abyss’ collection and materializing ocean depth in wood and glass, presenting the new ‘abyss wall relief’, an almost one meter in diameter wall sculpture introducing the majesty of the deep blue to the interior. the abyssal art piece instantly putting you in mind to stories of a flat earth is limited to only 25 editions.

the technique that duffy london uses can be considered unique even though it’s pretty simple — the designers put thick sheets of light blue glass on one another to achieve a gradient of the color which darkens as more layers are added. despite the fact that the studio’s pieces are traditionally functional as well and beautifully designed, the new wall relief only carries a decorative value of an abyss gazing back while observed.
