the new european investment bank in luxembourg features two large installations by british artist michael craig-martin. ‘parade’ and ‘one world’ look like line drawings or vinyl appliqués on the floor and wall, but these two piece are both made from DuPont™ Corian®. ‘parade’ is an 88m long ‘painting’ located in the building’s staff cafeteria and depicts a series of 60 everyday objects in overlapping line drawings. 20 colours of bright Corian® were cnc milled and inset into a white Corian® background. ‘one world’, on the other hand, is a series of three globes set into the wood floor of the atrium. ingenhoven architekten designed the new building.
