HENSE’s latest mural is a 65×95 foot, pseudo-3D painting with black blobs that protrude from the surface of a wall. the wall belongs to ICON midtown, a multi-purpose, new residential building in atlanta, georgia.

painted aluminum panels create 3D focal points. bold blocks of red appear as giant, singular brush strokes. stripes of yellow, also huge, seem to have been drawn and dripped haphazardly from a building-sized bucket. HENSE’s work, commissioned by related group, is crazy. as usual, he’s placed a strong personality on an otherwise normal looking structure, in an otherwise normal looking corner — this time, in atlanta’s midtown.
