honorroller crafts nike-inspired planter from wood
In celebration of the festive season preceding both the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit on the lunar calendar and the arrival of Spring, artist Honorroller returns with a new pop culture-infused sculpture. His most recent woodwork project, ‘Follow the White Rabbit’, draws on the iconic Nike Air Force 1 and his favorite festive candy to craft a sneaker-inspired vessel in his signature geometric style.
A perfect quirky centerpiece, the art object appears to emulate a shoe-clad foot and a leg, rendered primarily in wood and accentuated with foam, acrylic, and even candy wrappers. Doubling as a vase and planter, the new all-over print trousers are adorned with White Rabbit wrappers and motifs.

celebrating pop culture and the year of the rabbit
Also known as Christopher Chan, Honroller is best recognized for his blocky sneaker sculptures and figurines of celebrities, which also function as planters. Across his portfolio, the artist presents a playful fusion of wood sculpting with pop culture, embedded in the roots of hip-hop, footwear, and sports.
With his sculpture ‘Follow the White Rabbit’, he draws inspiration from Nike’s 2011 drop of Air Force 1’s which was boasted the same colorway in celebration of the year of the rabbit. Uniting this with his favorite treat during the New Year — White Rabbit Candy — Honorroller emulates a brand new pair of ‘printed’ trousers wrapped in the iconic candy wrapper, paired with a Nike sneaker.
