italian photographer luca meneghel‘s specialization in fashion and background in design has led him to ‘into the mirror’: a series of images that intersect reality and artistry through the fusion of lens captures and hand drawing. meneghel’s photos reveal the reflection of an understated female dressed in nude-colored, slim-fitted attire, referencing the magic mirror in ‘snowwhite’. barely-there makeup and an uncomplicated aesthetic sensibility manifest as ethereal, dreamy portraits. unexpectedly interposing the figure are the introduction of sketched clothing by norma nardi, illustrated onto the mirror, follwing the model’s frame. the rendered additions act as the outfit and include intricately-drawn lace dresses, the embellished beading of a jeweled necklace, and flowing, fabric garments. while the black etchings counter the delicately of the original image, the visual juxtaposition reveals the convergence of mediums in a striking way.
