the world’s wildest facial hair devotees went head-to-head at this year’s beard and moustache championships in portland, oregon, where hundreds of beardsmen from across the globe flaunted creative and bizarre reinterpretations of their sculpted and groomed locks. american photographer jaclyn campanaro was on hand to document the dainty dali moustaches and medal-worthy mutton chops in all their glory, fully capturing the intensity and absurdity of the event. through her lens, campanaro has snapped a series of portraits that viscerally express the artistry and painstaking attention to detail that the competitors engage in, including a shot of this edition’s winner madison rowley — below — exhibiting his full-bodied bristles for the show.
