jeanne claude: 1935 - 2009

the wife and artistic partner of christo, jeanne-claude passed away on novmber 18th as a result of complications due to a ruptured brain aneurysm. the artist worked with her husband for many years  on their unique projects that pioneered the environmental art movement. in a statement published  through their website, christo has vowed to complete their current works. the two artists met in paris, france in 1958 and shared the same birthday. they made art together for 51 years.
