juan munoz retrospective exhibitionat: serralves museum of contemporary art, portugal from: november 1st, 2008 to january 18, 2009

currently on display at the serralves museum of contemporary art, portugal is a retrospective exhibition of the work of spanish artist juan munoz. his sculptures are well known for creating tension between the illusory and the real, and his interest in depicting isolation of the individual among a crowd. the exhibition features well known works in sculpture, installation and sketches from the mid 1980’s up until his death in 2001. it was first displayed earlier this year at the tate modern, london and the guggenheim, bilbao.
