ica gallery in london presents a compilation of works of one of the most in demand, and highly paid, fashion photographers in the world – juergen teller. teller operates between both the art and commercial world – having shot such celebrities such as kate moss, kurt cobain and vivienne westwood, all taken with a distinctively provocative approach that tends to subvert the traditional relationship between artist and model.

the exhibition will also feature work taken from a more personal place, which include family pictures – revealing a more intimate side of teller’s life in his hometown in germany and residence in suffolk. teller collaborates with the subject in a way that allows for surprising and honest outcomes, fortifying his skill in telling a story through every image. throughout his career, teller has formed his own instantly recognisable style which blends humour and candidness in a unique and powerful way.
