year of the pug? julien nonnon projects modern-day zodiacs in hong kong

the architecture of the city — its dense urban fabric — determined the locations nonnon chose to highlight. hyper-urban places. specifically, the artist was looking for ‘the energy that creates an animated urban space.’ when he found that energy, he invited onlookers to walk alongside him, tweeting horses, swole dragons, texting tigers, and blue-collar pugs.
