100 manila file folders, one bottle of glue, 50 xacto blades, 3.000 individual pieces, and 1,000 hours of work were necessary for paper-wizard luca iaconi-stewart to complete a 1:20 fully functional model of singapore airlines’ airbus A380. the project — developed in collaboration with ad agency dentsu möbius — was part of a campaign called ‘no detail is too small’ that showcased the airline’s commitment to care and detail in every part of the onboard experience.

made entirely from manila file folders, the models were built using a construction technique perfected over the years by paper artist luca iaconi-stewart. the process involved reference photos and technical drawings provided by singapore airlines, as well as plans that were printed directly into the folder. the result are miniature chairs, turbines and all parts of an airplane, crafted to the most minimal detail. the monochromatic piece brings out the subtleties of the material and highlights the unique details and geometry of the plane.
