luca tombolini depicts the self through flawless landscapes series

travelling across the globe with his large format camera on a 4 x 5 inches film, photographer luca tombolini presents his LS series in which he captures majestic and pristine-like landscapes. this project offers a revelation, representing a part of the ‘self’ made more visible during long solo trips in remote areas.

through his photographic journey, luca tombolini explores how our social persona has drastically separated our minds from ancestral times, when man solely relied on his spirituality to cope with anything. in other words, today’s world and scientific knowledge overshadow that era when myths and spiritual insight have dominated consciousness. photographs displayed are drum scanned and printed on a 100x133cm C-type, in limited edition.
