british artist lucy sparrow is known for grocery sculptures made entirely out of felt. last year she sold sold out of 9,000 of them during her popular exhibition 8 ‘till late in new york. now sparrow has launched her sparrow mart installation inside the standard hotel in downtown los angeles.

in the new exhibition sparrow will display 31,000 unique items which will be available for sale. dubbed ‘sparrow mart’ there will staff on hand to serve up goods ranging from chicken breasts, baby bels and batteries.



the fruits and vegetables feature smiling faces, but all the packaged goods stay true to the expected label designs. the installation will be on view until august 31 with prices ranging from $5 USD to $73 USD.
