An unexpected Audience to fight Capacity Restrictions

How to fill the theaters, when the rule prohibits us? Peruvian advertising agency Fahrenheit DDB responds to this question with ‘Mannequins Spectators’. The project was born during the pandemic out of the need to support the Theaters in Peru, which due to the strict restrictions leaves 35% of the seats empty. This directly means 35% of unsold tickets. Thus, figures dressed in different outfits occupy the restricted seats while at the same time presenting collections in an unusual way.mannequin spectators buy unsold tickets to support theater industry

Mannequin Spectators fill the theater

Mannequin Spectators (see more here) is an idea that supports theaters in Peru to sell all their tickets. Apart from helping one of the hardest industries reactivate, this project acts as a fashion ad for Oechsle, one of the biggest retailers in Peru. So, dressed in different costumes, they occupy a seat and show fashion collections.

For this project, Mannequins attended the Municipal Theater throughout the season of the play ‘Todos Vuelven’. Each figure had a QR code that led the audience to a web page, where one could find the collections and purchases them.
