money, coins as well as bank notes, are nomadic objects, reflections of a nation – of its style and tradition, its past and present. they are stamped and printed in inconceivably big numbers, and yet, every coin has its very own history – making a never ending journey around the world, through time and the lives of many. its value is lost or added through time, represented as intrinsic or constructed.

presented by belgian galerie sofie lachaert, the exhibition showcases a collection of money and how its changed value is perceived by a series of well-known artists and designers.
