shohman’s work sees the talents of various individuals reworked with the addition of light trails, neon limbs and props that don’t exist. together they completely change the look and feel of the original clips, transporting their subjects to a retro-futuristic world.

the one element that unites all of these animations, and crucial to shohman’s work, is of course motion. each clip has been painstakingly edited by shohman who draws on each individual frame. an animation comprising 88 frames can take up to 5 hours whilst others between 800 and 1000 frames take much longer.

from what we can gather looking at shohman’s instagram, he only began animating in 2017 starting with a 7-second clip of a skateboarder doing a stunt. since then shohman has honed his craft, working his magic on a variety of subjects including basketball players, dancers, and many more skateboarders. shohman’s work has even captured the attention of sports brands like adidas, who commissioned an animation of brazilian professional footballer gabriel jesus.
