architecture studio prism design, have designed a pop-up store for ‘suagrlady’ in shanghai’s k11 art mall. geometric structures containing boutique garments were dotted underneath the upper level, allowing shoppers to witness the lit-up display below. the ‘crystal’ shape of the vertical hangers, defined the overall layout of the shop and made reference to the brand’s visual identity.

prism design aimed to highlight individual pieces through a striking light exhibition, creating an exclusive shopping experience. the changing rooms – as well as the hanging stations – were also illuminated allowing customers to walk into the netted structures. the spatial quality of the layout, combined with the graphical nature of the assemblage, introduces a different way of viewing women’s clothing and, in parallel, puts forward a new visual display by creating a gallery of boutique wear.
