in addition to raf simon’s blade-runner-inspired collab’ with eastpak, the fashion brand has unveiled their SS18 content. 50 looks, backwards clothing, neon lanterns, a video with too many camera angles to choose from, solid tunes — the future is dark, but it’s proudly lit and in proper uniform.

look for the t shirt out of focus. the one behind the impossible-to-miss focal point. behind the white, all-caps’d RAF SIMONS. here, on that little black shirt, raf’s room of dystopian delight houses peter saville’s white, squiggly artwork (the cover art for joy division’s studio album, unknown pleasures). the umbrella also references joy division. the lanterns, new order. if the TV was working, it’d probably be playing ‘love will tear us apart’ on repeat. instead, static.

these concept images — as much as they drip with attitude — are testaments to the collection’s musical muses. solid collaborations. everything here seems to have an intention deeper than what you would expect from dimly lit alleys and neon lights. this was just a light perusing. if you really want to get a feel for the collection, click around raf simons — better yet, put on some joy division and walk around chinatown in the rain.
