a large white geometric mass floats within a wooded area of champenoux, france, resembling ‘neither cloud nor rock’. the sculptural work is that of french firm raum architects. taking into consideration the existing landscape, the angular form is built around the site’s trees, clinging to their trunks to form a canopy. floating above the ground, it offers shelter for individuals from rain and sun.

Cut the fluff: it is neither cloud nor rock nor shelter. It is a curious piece of sculpture.
