slim aarons was an american photographer born october 29th, 1916 in manhattan, new york. known as the recorder of the good life – he immortalized the luxury enjoyed by the upper classes and aristocracy in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.aarons brought a photojournalist’s panache to the art of formal society portraiture, posing his subjects as still life, in their opulent environments – he was known for never using a stylist or makeup artist. aarons died in 2006, and was buried in mount auburn cemetery in cambridge, massachusetts.
