solo houses summer show features pezo von ellrichshausen, barozzi/veiga, & ugo rondinone

following the completion of two holiday homes, designed by pezo von ellrichshausen and OFFICE kersten geers david van severen respectively, a series of artworks is the latest offering from solo houses — the ambitious initiative led by developer christian bourdais and art producer eva albarran. featuring pieces by barozzi/veiga, ugo rondinone, and christian boltanski, among others, the summer group show is experienced as part of a route that leads visitors across the natural landscape. read designboom’s full article on héctor zamora’s contribution here.

‘gallery space is a meaningful space for our artists to encounter and experiment, but we don’t limit our vision of the art gallery to a confined space,’ say christian bourdais and eva albarran of solo houses. ‘that is why we felt the need to take our proposal beyond ‘the white cube’. we believe the experience between each one and the works of art will necessarily be different and complimentary to what the gallery’s contained space has to offer.’ see each of the works from the summer show below and see other projects relating to solo houses on designboom here.
