london-based designer jesse kanda has created a 3D illustration series to promote the jewelry designs of jordan askill. in the collection, the pendant featured in askill’s swallow neckpieces is reinterpreted and contextualized within the space of a monochromatic room in black, white, and red. askill often works with three dimensional scanned data from taxidermic animals and gave to kanda this information in order to employ a similar technique in his series. in each of the scenes, kanda depicts an impossible collection of objects with a skewed perception– the resulting photographs evoke a dream-like quality.
