based in tokyo, young graphic designer taishi arimura has a witty and humorous style showcased throughout his work. it also seems that noodles are one of his favorite subjects as he works with them both digitally and manually. from depicting mt. fuji as sukiyaki noodles to turning a cup of styrofoam instant noodles into samurai warriors, arimura’s work has us both hungry and amazed.

in his instant noodle samurai warriors, arimura meticulously carves the styrofoam packaging of popular instant noodles into the armor. he then makes the bodies of the warriors out of the pasta itself, giving them a robust figure that looks ready to fight. finally, he uses chopsticks or forks as weapons, completing the armor.
